Hi all, I've been quiet for a while, busy with by surviving the third lockdown and finishing some projects that were sitting around for too many years. Now, let me take you with me on a journey through leaves and branches. Wherever you go, unless it's perhaps a sandy desert or the rocky peak of a mountain, there is one class of silent companions that will accompany you through your journey... trees. Trees are those elements in nature that radiate wisdom and symbolise life. Wherever there is a tree, there is water, fertile soil, and a cornucopia of small inhabitants that dwell within its leaves, branches and wood. Every tree has its own character - its own 'personality', if you will - which has resulted from years of growth despite the strong winds, heavy rainfalls, lightning, diseases, herbivore attacks, human attacks, droughts, and whatever else you can think of. Trees are sturdy, persevering entities that remind us of times gone by. Looking at them makes you think of the past, what we have learnt and what we have lost. Trees also make you look beyond into the future. As a tree grows, so will you, and so will the world around. Throughout my travels, trees have connected with me on the same level that people or food have done - everywhere they're different, but they've always taught me something new, opening my mind and bringing me comfort.
